The Birthing of Agape' Word of The Promise Ministries

 
 

In the early 2000s, Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Yolanda Magwood felt the need to do more for their community, as they took notice of a Major divide between Church and Community.
This is when Yolanda joined fellowship w/ Heavenly Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jake Wright, where she immediately took her place in leadership as Church Secretary. This Ministry was where a key development took place as Curtis joined a year later, he then was asked to join the Church Board of Trustees, and the work began. Together with many faithful others, the Ministry grew from a Daycare center w/ less than 10 members to a Brand New Church Building, after such success it was amazing that God began to shift both Mr. & Mrs. Curtis Magwood, Yolanda was more committed than ever as Curtis was beginning to dedicate himself to God's work. Under the Instructions of the Holy Spirit Curtis & Yolanda moved on...as Curtis was on the road traveling working, Yolanda started a fellowship with Bread of Life Ministries Inc. under the leadership of then Bishop Kenneth Broadney and Pastor Lady Patricia Broadney. This is where Curtis received the Holy Spirit and became a Deacon. Now on Fire for God, they began work through Community Outreach and Church Conferences. In 2010, God said higher so both Curtis and Yolanda became Ordained Ministers.

Now it become legal in the eyes of Man. As their Outreach began to ignite, Minister Curtis and Evangelist Yolanda were sure they were on the right path. The Ministry began to grow, and many Friends and Family came mostly "in disbelief that Curtis was a Minister" after witnessing it was genuine many joined some visited often. Next, Prophecy began to take place as Evangelist Yolanda accepted the call of Prophetess, and Minister Curtis shifted into Eldership. They worked faithfully under this Ministry while fighting the Voice of God to start full-time Outreach, finally, after much prayer and resistance, we spoke with now, Apostle Kenneth Broadney, and shared what God had said, concerning us moving on, he simply said, "What took y'all so long?". We were both relieved and thankful as he Prayed a Prayer of Release and Covering over us.
Finally, as we continued our stages of Ministry development, we began a fellowship with Indian Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Kenneth Broughton, this is where the Pastoral prick was imparted into Elder Curtis. This Fellowship was the final piece in the foundation for the Ministry God has entrusted us with.

Now, realizing the time has come, they began to understand the journey, as God promised them Favor as “Relationship Specialist” and "Bridgegappers" between Community and Church through the power of Unity & Love.
Through these promises of direction, Jehovah God was birthed.....

--Heavenly Baptist: taught them Unity, being like family through fellowship and feasting.
--Bread of Life: taught them the importance of sound doctrine obtained by studying, fasting & praying.
--Indian Creek: taught them the power of unity in praise and worship to usher in the presence of God.
—SMI: Understanding that the “Spirit of the Prophet is subject to the Prophet” we made a covenant with S.M.I. Ministries w/ Prophet Shawn Morris to nurture this Gift with the Impartation of the Supernatural, as well as Prophetic utterance.
